LeadMerlin + Zapier

Webhooks by Zapier — not an official Zapier app

Use the “Webhooks by Zapier” Custom Request action. Zapier works best for enriching small batches or pulling the first page of a search.

Before you start

Custom Request — start a job

Method POST, add header x-api-key, and send JSON. For a new lead from a form or CRM, enriching its domain is often the simplest Zap.

Delay

Add Delay by Zapier → Delay For a few minutes so enrichment can finish.

Custom Request — get results

GET the results for the job_id from step 1.

Update your CRM

Map owner, email, phone and phone_type from the first business into your CRM record.

Location codes in these examples are placeholders — always look yours up with GET /v2/locations first.

Add a Filter step that stops the Zap if the job status is not completed yet, and re-run later.
For full search result sets with many pages, n8n or Make handle loops more easily.

POST /v2/searches	Start a search job: keyword, 1–5 location_codes, optional strictness
POST /v2/enrichments	Enrich up to 100 domains you already have
GET /v2/jobs/:id	Poll until status is completed
GET /v2/jobs/:id/results	Paginated enriched businesses (cursor, limit ≤ 200)
/v2/demo/*	Same shapes on fixture data — no key, no credits

All calls use the x-api-key header except the demo endpoints. Base URL: https://api.leadmerlin.com/api
